Terms & Conditions - Baby Gear

I) While travelling with our Hired Products:

Air Travel: The person who is hiring our product hereinafter will be named as OTHER PARTY confirms that whenever he/ she travels with our product/s, He/ She will GATE CHECK IN all products Hired by us. Putting the hired products in the 'check in luggage' is NOT ALLOWED. So confirm the 'Check in' procedures with your airline before hiring our products.

When travelling By Car/ By Train: The Other Party confirms that He/ She will store the Hired products safely and in a clean, dry place. Storing other luggage/ Items on top of the Hired products is Not Allowed

The Other Party confirms that He/ She will not use our products on foot over bridge/ on stairs/ Escalators/ uneven surfaces/ dusty areas/ beaches and sandy places / wet areas or other places that can damage the product/s

 

II) Cancellation Policy

 

Cancellation made:

  1. Up to 15 Days prior to the delivery date - No cancellation charges.
  2. Up to 7 Days prior to the Delivery date - 10% of Rent/One week rent (whichever is lower) will be charged.
  3. Up to 2 Days prior to the Delivery date -50% of Rent/One week rent (whichever is lower) will be charged.
  4. Up to 1 Day prior to the Delivery Date - 75% of Rent / One week rent (whichever is lower) will be charged.
  5. If product is out for delivery OR At door step: 100% of the transport charges plus 100% of Rent/ One week rent (whichever is lower) will be charged.

 

 

III) Damages and Use in Accordance with Instructions.

a) Other party Ensures/ assures to check the child's age/weight before placing the order. Uses the Hired product as per the age/weight limit mentioned by the manufacturer for that particular product and ensures not to use it for child/ children who have surpassed the age/weight limit.

b) Other party Ensures/ assures to store the Hired products in a cool, dry place always away from sun light. Storing the hired products in dusty areas, on wet surfaces, in balcony, on staircase, in open areas is not allowed.  

c) Other Party takes full responsibility for the loss or damage of the product/s. Ensures/ assures to keep the product/s up in the best condition at all times.

d) We deliver and pick the products for your convenience. Our transporter takes utmost care while transporting the products. But are not skilled to check the condition of the product at the time of pickup. The product will be checked for damages only after reaching back to us. If we find any damages, we shall share the images with you and refund would be processed only after evaluating the cost of repair/ replacement. This process takes time as most of the times the images are shared with manufacturers and availability of replacements need to be checked.

e) In case of loss or damage, Other Party has to pay myPleyBox (hereafter referred to as “MPB”) the fair value of replacement or repair of the product. If the products is lost or damaged beyond repair or its parts not available by the manaufacturer, other party has to replace it with a NEW product or pay the cost equivalent to the NEW product.

f) Once the assessment is done by MPB, the same will be informed to the Other Party. If the refundable deposit is more than the replacement or repair cost, the excessive amount will be refunded to the Other Party. If the refundable deposit with MPB is less than the repair or replacement cost, then the balance payment or additional charges has to be borne by the other party. Once the final cost is shared with other party, payment needs to be made within two working days, failing whcih rental cost would also be charged till the final date of settlement.

g) Products that are returned excessively dirty will be charged Rs.100 extra per product.

h) Products that have pen/ Sketch pen/ marker marks will be charged for replacement as these don't get washed off.

i) Using tapes, adhesives, wires to decorate our products is not allowed. Only soft thread can be used to tie any decoration item.

j) Washing and caring instructions should be checked for products that are taken for long term. Other party cannot use oil/ grease/ fabric whitener/ harsh detergents on our products.

k) Torn fabric/ paper would be charged for replacement.

l) Batteries are used by our representatives only to show that the product is in working condition. Batteries are not provided with the product/s hired.

 

IV) Refund Policy

a) Once the product is back with MPB, the team will check it for any material damages. If found satisfactory, refundable deposit (given at the time of hiring the product) will be transferred back within 48 hours of receiving the product.

b) Refundable deposit will be returned through bank transfer. Please share your account details with MPB for the same.   

c) In case of any damage, MPB will take the estimate from the manufacturer/ repair agents and the same will be informed to the Other Party. If the refundable deposit is more than the replacement or repair cost, the excessive amount will be refunded to the Other Party. If the refundable deposit with MPB is less than the repair or replacement cost, then the balance payment or additional charges has to be borne by the other party.

d) In case if the hired product need to be replaced, MBP will charge the fair value of the product to the other party, but reserves the right to either replace or discard the product completely.

e) In case of loss or damage, Other Party has to pay MPB, the fair value of replacement or repair of the product. If theproduct is lost or damaged beyond repair or its parts not available by the manufacturer, Other Party has to replace it with a New product or pay cost equivalent to the New Product. 

V) Delay in Return

 

If Other Party fails to return the product on the agreed date mentioned in the email or otherwise, Other Party will have to pay Extra charges.

Charges would calculated as = Number of days delayed x Average rent per day x 1.5. (Average rent per day = Total Rent / Rental period).

 

VI) Delivery / Pick up process

a) The other party or his/her representative has to be present at the agreed date and time for delivery as well as pickup. Otherwise extra shipping costs for a repeat visit will be charged.

b) If there is any change in delivery/ pickup address, other than specified at the time of , extra shipping wll be charged

c) Delivered product/s cannot be returned from door step unless they have major defects & are non-functional. If cancellations are made at door step: 100% of the transport charges plus       100% of Rent/ One week rent (whichever is lower) will be charged.

d) Though we do quality checks at our end before delivery, the other party is expected to check the hired product/s properly for any damages and report the same to our representative/          delivery person. Photos shall be captured of the same.

e) In case of absence of lift, our delivery team will carry items through stairs only till 1st floor. For deliveries to 2nd  floor & above without lift, Rs. 100/- extra labour cost will be charged.

f) Product/s once accepted by the other party or his/her representative, will not be replaced.

g) Express delivery charges may apply for bookings made less than 2 days from the delivery date.

 

VII) Release of Liability

 

a) Other Party has to understand that certain risks factor EXISTS from the use or misuse of items that are being hired. The injury can also be caused if the product is MISUSED.

b) Other party assures/ is responsible to download and read usage instructions /  manual from MANUFACTURE'S official website before using the hired products, ensures that hired product/s are used in accordance with these Instruction manual and assumes that all risks, known/unknown factors associated with the use of the same.

c) Other Party agrees NOT TO hold MPB responsible for the Damages caused by the Hired Product. No liability stands against MPB for any injury or loss arising from the use or misuse of the Hired items.

d) Under no circumstances MPB will be held responsible for any damage, injury, or any loss of life, arising from the failure of the equipment’s functioning as intended by the manufacturer.

e) In case MPB is not able to provide the product/s to the Other Party, full amount will be refunded.

f) Other Party agrees NOT to hold MPB responsible if MPB fails to provide the product/s due to unavoidable circumstances/ conditions.
